Important Information

Please Note:

All charters are subject to a 4% Bahamian charter tax.

A 50% deposit is required to reserve your dates with the balance due two months prior to your arrival date.

Unless otherwise agreed to in advance check in time is 3:00 p.m. and check out time is 10 a.m.

Cancellations necessary due to hurricane/tropical storm threats will receive a full refund. All other cancellations are non refundable unless there is sufficient time to rebook the dates on which the deposit was placed (less a 10% booking and administration fee). If there is uncertainty of any kind about your ability to complete your charter plans, trip insurance is strongly suggested.

Any charter date that falls on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years or Easter incurs a 10% holiday surcharge.

Pick up/drop off at any location other than Marsh Harbour carries a $200.00 fee and may change the timing of your charter if it is a day excursion. Call or email for more information.

For Bareboat/Captained by Day Charters: All fuel costs (diesel and dinghy gasoline), water, mooring fees, docking fees* and dockside electricity are the responsibility of the charterer.

*First night's dockage is covered by Sail The Abacos.

No style of charter inclues ground transportation and/or taxi service.

Shearwater carries full charter insurance for up to 20 persons and is inspected and licensed by the ports of Marsh Harbor and Nassau respectively.

Capt. Bruce holds a USCG (100) Ton Masters license and his reciprocal Bahamian Captains license for charter in Bahamian waters.

As of December 2006 all American citizens are required to have a passport to reenter the US.

New deck shoes are permitted as long as they have never been worn on the street. Deck shoes cease to be deck shoes once they have picked up gum, tar or pebbles. Otherwise enjoy the freedom of being shoeless on board.

Smoking is not permitted inside the vessel.

The use of non aerosol and non oily sunscreens is appreciated.

Soft luggage is not required but easier to manage on the vessel.
